Glen Mia Saddlery
(previously Glen Mia Supplies) has been servicing the south-east
region of NSW and the ACT for nearly 30 years under Carmel Rixon
and her son, Ian.  (pictured
at right).
In 2000, Ian and wife Jenny took over the Canberra operation,
with a market base stretching into NSW through Goulburn,
Queanbeyan, Yass and Young.
Early in 2009, Glen Mia ACT opened a Saddlery Shopfront at Thoroughbred Park,
aka The Canberra Race Course. (Main entrance off Randwick Road,
Lyneham, and follow the road to the end.)
Glen Mia Shopfront is open 6 days a week, 8.30am - 5.30pm weekdays
and 8.30am - 12noon Saturday.
Glen Mia Saddlery ACT specialises in racing supplies for
both the thoroughbred and harness racing industries.
The Glen Mia mobile shop (Hino Truck) is located on-course
at all race meetings within their region,
and supports local racing through sponsorship. 
Pleasure-riding and Eventing is also well catered
for, and the mobile shop can be seen at many of the local
equestrian events. We also have a regular fortnightly delivery
service throughout Canberra, Queanbeyan, Yass, Young and Goulburn.
Ian and the well-stocked truck visits farms, training facilities
and homes to deliver products and take orders. So we can even come to
you!

Glen Mia Saddlery (ACT) supplies a broad range of equine
products: saddlery, racing, farrier/horseshoes, vitamins and
dietary supplements, equestrian, clothing and protective gear, and
all other horse requirements
(many of our customers order things for their other animals too;
for eg. dogs and alapacas!)
Advice on latest products and tips to help improve your horse's
performance is Ian Rixon's specialty. He carries all the latest
product range as well as written information to help inform people
of latest changes in the industry.
After over 20 years working in the industry in his family-run
business, Ian has a wealth of experience, contacts and advice that
he is more than happy to pass on to his clientele. Plus our prices
are extremely competitive based on our buying power and low
overheads.
